My name is Sarah Masood Raza, I graduated from FEC in 2012. I have an MBBS degree and presently am preparing for my exams so I can practice in the United States. The medical journey has always been extremely competitive. We meet people from different backgrounds and are often faced with so many challenges. What got me through medical school was my time management, discipline and the fact that I was an all-rounder. These habits develop from childhood, not just by our parents but by our school as well. FEC taught me how to shine the brightest in a room. For me, our school song wasn’t just a song we had to memorize. I valued it because it had a very straightforward and essential message, ‘Kind deeds and open minds, help everyone to grow’. We were introduced to the concept of healthy competition. There were people from different backgrounds in my batch. I was taught how to patiently deal with them, understand them and respect everyone. FEC encouraged me to balance academics with extra-curricular activities, a quality that many people are impressed with. The confident person I am today, I owe to FEC. Staying back after school and preparing for debates helped me address crowds and host meetings. More importantly, Froebel taught me how to be disciplined. A thought that resonates very well with me is that discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishments. As I walk into a new chapter of my life, I take along with me beautiful memories and values, which help me, get through and grow. Sending out love and prayers to all my teachers and the admin thank you for making me the person I am today.
