Principal’s Welcome

Froebel Education Centre is a great place to study. We provide a friendly environment where students are encouraged to develop and grow to make a positive contribution to society.

A challenging curriculum promotes critical thinking and a rich variety of extra curricular activities support overall learning.

All this is done under the watchful and caring guidance of our teachers who facilitate development of confidence and leadership qualities, which are a hallmark of our students.

At FEC we follow the philosophy of Friedrich Froebel, a German Educationalist who strongly believed in the harmony of life, individuality of students and learning through play.

This is very personal to me, as I have done my training from the Froebel Institute of Education, London and was passionate to put into practice what I had learnt.

The essence of our philosophy is to recognize that each student has his or her own unique needs and learning styles and to help bring about holistic growth in areas of their social, academic and personal development.

Mission Statement

At Froebel Education Centre our aim is to provide a high quality education that extends beyond the classroom. We believe in helping our students to grow into well balanced and open minded individuals who are grounded in sound values. We are committed to providing a stimulating environment for our students in order to develop life skills, critical thinking ability and an education that encompasses both practical and academic realms.

Values

At FEC our efforts are focused on instilling some core values into our students starting from the youngest learners right through to our senior students.

Our belief is that providing a solid foundation for education along with a strong set of values will enable them to become life long learners and responsible members of society.

The practice of truthfulness, respect, tolerance and compassion are some of the values that are encouraged across the board by all members of our school community with a particular focus on the students. These values are taught through fun activities conducted throughout the academic year. Story telling and group activities are some of the methods used. Drama and roleplay is yet another effective way that we reach out to our students. These activities are thoughtfully selected keeping this goal in mind.

Students are encouraged to uphold these values in their normal interactions with peers and others in the environment. Teachers encourage the students to reflect on their conduct when they are seen to have stepped out of line. Developing values is an ongoing process that involves the wider school community that includes students, members of faculty, staff and parents. Working together makes it a progressive, dynamic and ever improving effort.
